About April
April is a Michigan girl at heart, though she’s called Southern California home for many years. Now living near the beach with her kids, she finds balance and inspiration in both her family and art. Her work spans energetic live guest illustrations to realistic portraits and commissioned oil paintings. April’s artistic journey began in early childhood. She began college as a Studio Art major but ultimately graduated with a degree in Sociology. April spent over 15 years working in the wellness industry as a holistic nutritionist and Pilates/fitness instructor. It wasn’t until the lockdown in 2020 that she rediscovered her love of creating art. These days, her heart and soul are rooted in her home studio, where she paints daily, inspired by the world around her.
How it works
April will arrive at your venue 2-3 hours early to set up, take reference photos with the couple, and begin painting the background. As guests arrive, she will begin adding in the important details of your day to capture the feel of the space.
At the end of the night your painting will look complete. Finishing touches will be added in studio after the event.
A month prior to your special day, we will schedule a consultation call to discuss the painted moment and details you would like captured.

Travel & Payment Details
April is based in Southern California and is available for travel. Events in Los Angeles and Orange County with no travel fee.
Travel fee for venues outside of April’s local radius will have a custom travel quote provided to cover mileage, hotel, and flight if necessary.
A 50% deposit and signed agreement are required to secure your date. The remaining 50% will be required 2 weeks prior to your event.
The day of the event, April will require a vendor meal, chair, small area near an outlet.
