About Shannon
Shannon Semizian has been passionate about art since childhood, drawing from an early age and staying creatively engaged throughout her life. As a self-taught artist, she nurtured her talent through school and into adulthood. She earned fashion degrees from Michigan State University as well as the Fashion Institute of Technology, which led to a decade-long career in women’s wear fashion design.
Shannon then founded her own art business, Tigerwolfstudios, specializing in realistic portraits and landscapes. Now as a mom of two, she balances family life with a thriving creative career.
Her artistic journey eventually led to live wedding guest illustrations, where she combines her background in fashion design with her love for portraiture and design. With a keen eye for detail, Shannon creates personalized keepsakes for couples and their guests live and on-site.
How it works
The Live Art Experience
Artists are booked on a per event basis up to 6 hours. Each person takes about 6-8 min to paint on average, depending on number of people and amount of detail on clothing (maximum 4 people per portrait).
Each portrait is painted on 5” x 7" professional watercolor paper.
All portraits are painted with no facial features and will capture the likeness of each individual with detailed focus on clothing and hairstyle.
When guests approach the art table, their photograph will be taken by artist’s assistant. Portraits will be drawn during the event and will be ready for pick up later. That way there is no waiting involved and guests can enjoy the event! Guests can also stay and watch the process as a form of entertainment.
Once the portrait is completed, they will be laid out on the table and packaged up nicely for guests to pick up and take home before they leave!
How to Book Your Event
A 50% non-refundable deposit and signed agreement are required to secure your date. The remaining 50% will be due 2 weeks prior to your event.
Additional Fees
Shannon is based in Redondo Beach, CA and is available for travel. Events located in Los Angeles, Orange County have no travel fee.
If the venue is over 80 miles, there is a travel fee for mileage at $.70/mile over that.
If venue is over 3 hours, we will provide a custom travel quote to cover hotel/mileage.
Certificate of Insurance available (upon request)
Please note it is not guaranteed that every single guest will be able to receive a portrait.
However, if you wish to have all guests painted, there is the option to finish portraits at home at an hour rate of $200/hr. Portraits finished outside of the event will be mailed to the Client's address all together.
Setup
Artist and assistant arrive for set up 30 to 60 minutes before the start time of service.
Venue to provides 1-2 tables (6-8ft) depending on number of artists booked, linen, and chairs.
Table should be set up in a dry area where adequate light or an outlet is accessible to plug in lamps.
